It’s usually near a fine line.
The truth is important and there’s a lot at stake in finding it. It’s for that reason that it’s contested and the search to find it can be clouded.
But you know you’re close when you find the fine line.
The fine line is an invisible barrier between the truth and the error, the fact and the fiction, the real and the make believe.
Here’s what it looks like:
There is the truth and surrounding it is a fine line. On the other side of the fine line are concentric circles of errors moving further and further away from the truth. The closer the error is to the truth, the more true it seems.
It’s that area right around the fine line that matters the most because it’s possible to get stuck on the first ring of error and think we’ve found the truth. We need to always ask ourselves what side of the fine line we’re on.
There’s a fine line between ______________ and ______________.
