One day you were and you ordered an enormous amount of food.
The doorbell rang. The food arrived.
You shovelled the food into your mouth, eating quickly. ‘That food took forever to come,’ you said aloud to yourself.
After only a few minutes you began to feel full and your hunger turned to confusion.
You had been so sure that you were THAT hungry.
You were hungry for hours and you became full in minutes.
Our desires can play tricks on us.
Sometimes we think we need something
when in reality we probably need a little less.
Your current self will always say you need more. Your future self will probably say you could’ve lived with less — or maybe even been happier with less.
Sometimes more just feels like a stomach ache.
