The Potential Friendship Between Ideas and Action
You have two friends: Rubber and Road.
You know they would connect right away — it’s as if they were made to go together.
You should probably introduce them.
Your friend Rubber is an ideas person. She’s always dreaming up interesting things, but she never brings them into reality.
Your friend Road is an action person. She’s got lists everywhere, writing things down and crossing them off, but she’s bored of completing the same old mundane tasks.
Seems like a match made in heaven, eh?
The thing is… relationships can be messy. It might not work out.
It’s always a risk.
And that’s why we’re afraid.
We know what life is like with Rubber and Road not meeting. It’s like what life is like right now.
Sure, it could be better if they met. But, we don’t know what would happen. It could be bad, it could be worse.
And it’d be our fault.
What if the things that came out of their friendship changed the lives of many people for the better?
Surely nothing so extraordinary could come from two of your friends…
It’s easy to keep the tires in the storage where they can’t get pierced or worn down.
But that’s not what they were made for.
Rubber was made to meet Road.
Don’t keep them apart anymore.
Introduce them to each other and see what happens.
This is my daily project where I write about diverse ideas.
This is Dose #34.
